Presidential Decree for safe LNG Bunkering in Greece: A major milestone of PMII Project
The Presidential Decree (PD) on safe LNG Bunkering operations, published at the Greek Government Gazette on June 20th 2019, is the umbrella legislation containing a set of provisions and minimum criteria, such as: safety & emergency procedures, Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPS), fire-fighting measurements, manuals overview for LNG bunkering preparation & execution, training and other pillars, which will allow Greek ports to accommodate LNG bunkering operations. This new legislation is applied for LNG powered vessels of any nationality or flag that need refuelling in the Greek territory.
